| Laurel Robuck Barr, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. A student at Carnegie Mellon University and graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Music, she has spent all of her adult years in music education and performing. For many years, Laurel entertained with a top forty and Jazz band in and around the Cleveland area as well as performing in musicals and commercials. She became a cantor in 1999 after studying and apprenticing with well-known cantors from around the country. She presently serves as full time cantor of a large congregation in the city and hopes to continue to create music, teach and inspire. |
